My Date with Michelangelo

Michelangelo proved to be quite elusive, and I was lucky to come across this little statue of his in hall of the National Gallery. I wasn’t quite sure that it was his work at first, since the statue was hard to identify. Only recently was it recognized as the work of young Mikey. I felt special to have been able to be face to face with the work of my favorite ninja turtle. However, I wish I was able to see more of his iconic Renaissance pieces.
