Lesson THREE
For this lesson we drew the lips, focusing again on contrast but instead on the lower half of the face. Lips are a defining feature and it is important to study each aspect of the portrait.

Admittedly, I struggled with the composition of the lips. I have gotten more used to layering charcoal and learning how to create shadow and depth, but I still found this lesson difficult. Her lips look a little like she is in need of some vaseline.
